Bangalore, India has begun first aider training for its policemen, teaching them how to move an injured driver to an ambulance as well as basic resuscitation procedures.

The training program also involves rescuing people with head injuries and how to relieve a choking victim.

“The traffic policeman is generally the first person to reach a road accident spot and we want them to be able to provide medical aid to the injured,” said a hospitals spokesman.
